Upcoming Workshop for the Unemployed
An upcoming workshop on Saturday, June 6 is open to the public and provides important information to the unemployed. This free workshop is offered by the AFL-CIO and United Way of Allen County. It takes place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Central Labor Council, 1520 Profit Drive. The guest speaker is Lynn Minick, workforce development specialist from the National Employment Law Project. Topics include unemployment insurance, employment services, the Workforce Investment Act, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the Trade and Globalization Adjustment Assistance Act of 2009 and Veteran's Services.
