Campaign Managers

A key element to the success of the annual Community Campaign is the Campaign Managers program.

Area companies are asked to sponsor a Campaign Manager (formerly known as Loaned Account Managers) - either through financial underwriting or the lending of an employee for 12 weeks in the fall during the active campaign.

CM's meet with campaign coordinators to help plan and successfully implement their workplace campaigns. Through these efforts, CM's help raise dollars, educate employees about services and increase participation in the annual Community Campaign, which funds services to improve the quality of life for all Allen County residents.

The Campaign Managers not only provide important support to the campaign itself, but they also allow United Way staff to maintain their focus on the intensive, ongoing activities requiring year-round attention. In addition, through the use of an effective CM program, United Way is able to avoid the need to hire outside staff resources during the campaign, enabling the allocation of more dollars to its agency partners.

The participating organization and the Campaign Manager win by providing an opportunity to develop executive leadership, strengthen management skills, and improve public speaking, project management and analytical skills.

For more information on becoming a CM, contact United Way at (260) 422-4776.

"Being a Loaned Account Manager (Campaign Manger) for United Way was an incredible experience. It not only enhanced my presentation and organizational skills for my job, it rewarded me personally by giving me the opportunity to be a contributing member of the community where I work and live."
