Leadership Givers are United Way of Allen County's most generous supporters and are essential in our efforts to tackle our community's most serious issues. During the 2010-2011 Community Campaign, United Way of Allen County had almost 600 Leadership Givers. These leadership gifts, from both longtime and new contributors, led United Way of Allen County to the second consecutive year for positive campaign growth. In addition to the powerful impact a leadership gift brings to the community, benefits of membership also include inclusion in the annual Leadership Giving Roster (download the current 2011-2012 roster by clicking here), invitations to special events and additional opportunities to network and meet fellow community leaders. In addition, Leadership givers are consulted and informed about the impact of their investment; they receive a regular newsletter (download Fall 2012 here) and a copy of United Way’s report to the community (download the 2011-2012 report by clicking here). |

Tocqueville Society Alexis de Tocqueville was a brilliant French nobleman who visited the United States in the early 19th century to study democracy. Tocqueville was impressed with America’s spirit of volunteerism and value of working together for the common good. In 1984, United Way of America chose Tocqueville as the namesake for its most prestigious giving society for those who donate $10,000 or more annually. |
